David J. Albanese

Attorney Albanese is a New Milford native who joined the firm in 2012 after spending the initial years of his career practicing in New York City and Westchester County. His areas of practice include residential and commercial real estate sales and leasing, representing sellers, purchasers, lenders, landlords, and tenants, with expertise in short sales, re-finances, and foreclosures. He also has extensive experience in corporate and small business matters, representing firms of all sizes in both their day-to-day needs and in formation, dissolution, sales, and mergers.

Background

Mr. Albanese is admitted to practice in Connecticut (2006) and New York (Appellate Division, Second Department 2007). He received his undergraduate education at Fordham University (B.A. 2003) and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School (J.D. Cum Laude 2006). While at Fordham he spent a semester abroad in Rome, Italy and was a member of both the National Philosophy Honor Society and National Political Science Honor Society. In law school, he served as vice president of the Italian American Law Students Association, was a Notes & Comments Editor for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, and was the recipient of the CALI Award for Excellence in trusts and estates.

He is currently a member of the Litchfield County Bar Association and the Greater Danbury Bar Association and serves on the board of directors of the Community Culinary School of Northwestern Connecticut and The Pratt Nature Center.
